Jose A. Navarro, D.V.M.
I have been a New Jersey veterinary practitioner since 1975, specializing in veterinary medicine, general surgery, and dentistry. I began my career at the Rutherford Animal Clinic from 1975 to 1980 and later established and operated the Montville Animal Clinic in Towaco, New Jersey, alongside my wife, who is also a New Jersey veterinarian. In 1993, we successfully sold our practice and transitioned into a new chapter, dedicating our time to our church ministry, where we served parishioners from all corners of the globe. After retiring as church staff in 2021, we continued our commitment to volunteer work. Reinstating our New Jersey veterinary license, we have been devoted to caring for the needs of dogs and cats in the Lake Hopatcong Animal Hospital and neighboring towns.
Elizabeth Z. Navarro, D.V.M.
A New Jersey veterinary practitioner since 1976, I owned and operated my pet clinic, the Fairfield Pet Clinic, from 1977 to 1983. Later, I joined my husband in managing the Montville Animal Clinic until 1993. My expertise lies in general veterinary medicine, surgery, and dentistry. Following a tenure as a church minister, I retired in 2021. Subsequently, I reinstated my veterinary license, dedicating my skills to serving dogs and cats at the Lake Hopatcong Animal Hospital and its surrounding communities.
Nancy Nagy
Hi, I’m Nancy. I‘ve been a long-time employee of the Lake Hopatcong Animal Hospital. Growing up, my home was always filled with animals. I began working at a pet shop when I was 17 and ended up working there and managing the store for 15 years. In 2006, I joined the crew at the Lake Hopatcong Animal Hospital and have always enjoyed working with owners and their pets. On my off time, my husband and I have a vintage VW car club and a dog named Eli, who loves rides in my 1971 bus.
Michelle Halke
Married with children and grandchildren, I've been in the veterinary field since 1986. The last 24 years have been at Lake Hopatcong Animal Hospital. I've gathered numerous hours of continuing education, particularly in dentistry. I live on a farm raising Labradors and show chickens. Additionally, I've rescued a mini horse (Henry) and a quarter horse (Peppy), along with an African grey (Gulliver) and an inherited cat named Spooks. Our large family enjoys our farm life, and we love beach trips in our truck camper with Stella the Frenchie.
